How to Permanently BLOCK True Love from Entering

Let’s get straight to the chase. Your heart yearns for love. You want a man you can trust as your emergency contact. You desire someone who can hold it down around the house and with the kids.  You would love for God to send you a man who is strong, protective, and equally capable of ravishing you as much as he prays for you.(Yes, I went there.)Deep down, your heart wants a man who will let you exhale, make you smile, and will adorn you with love.Yet, instead of embracing the idea for Mr. Right to show up right now, you fall back insinuate it’s not time yet. You say things like:

  • “I need to work on my personality.”
  • “I need to lose at least 25 pounds.”
  •  “I promised myself I’d wait until after my son graduates.”
  • “I have too many responsibilities to date.”
  • “I need more time to heal.”

Statements like these are harmful. At surface level, they don't seem negative. But, they are cross-purposes that seep into your spirit and throw a counter intention against your desires, ultimately slowing down your results. You can tell yourself that you need to wait. And yes, it sounds noble and all, but the truth is it’s unnecessary. You’ll always have something to do. Life will always provide opportunities for you to improve and people who need your attention. As for perfection? Nobody’s perfect, so you’ll never be perfect. But that’s cool, because love never requires any of us to be perfect. Even the Bible declares in 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8:Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. Not one part of this passage mentions perfection. Why delay your happiness waiting for something you’ll never have or need? You’ll never be ready until you decide you are ready.Love doesn’t require you to be perfect. It just requires you to be ready. That’s it. You just have to be ready. And guess what? You’re ready the moment you declare yourself to be.
